While you can see the Double Arch from the parking lot, it is much more impressive (as most of these are) when experienced up close. Located almost directly across from the Windows section is the popular Double Arch. An easy trail from the parking lot will take you to the South and North Windows as well as the Turret Arch. Visitors can walk amongst a towering wonderland of wind and water-eroded sandstone hoodoos, fins, spires, and more. You can no longer go under the arch due to some rockfalls back in the 90s.Spanning over 73,000 acres, Arches National Park offers plenty to explore for the curious. This part is very sandy but still flat, and not very long. However, the best views are available by continuing on the Devils Garden Main Trail and the Landscape Arch Trail. You can see the arch from the end of the paved area. The first 0.8 miles of trail is paved and flat, making the going very easy and accessible (although sand can blow onto the paving). You can park at the Devil's Garden Trailhead Parking area and hike along the Devils Garden Main Trail. Short Walk: Accessing Landscape Arch is fairly easy. *As measured by the Natural Arch and Bridge Society other sources say it's longer or even the longest. In fact, the thinnest section is only about 6 feet thick! The arch appears impossibly thin which adds to its beauty and uniqueness. Definitely one of Arch's must-see attractions, Landscape Arch is the longest arch in Arches National Park, and the fifth longest in the world at about 290 feet*. ![]()
